EFYE Awards
The EFYE Awards celebrate individuals and teams who are making exceptional contributions to the First Year Experience and other stages of student transitions. This is your chance to highlight the impactful work of your colleagues or your own efforts in this vital field.
We invite nominations from students, administrators, policy-makers, researchers, and educators—anyone who contributes to enhancing student transitions. Our categories are designed to recognise achievements across career stages, types of work, and institutional contexts.
Celebrate Excellence in First Year Experience: Nominate Your Colleagues
Current EFYE Fellows (2024)
EFYE Leader / EFYE Champion – Kathy Bradley
EFYE Rising Star – Erika Koncz
EFYE Team – Resource Persons at the Norwegian Competency Network for Student Success in Higher Education
Since 2006, the EFYE community has shared its innovations to radically improve the experiences of first year students and those in transition, and has provided leadership to those who shape these experiences. In establishing this Award series, the EFYE Committee is providing a formal opportunity to champion those who have made significant contributions to the First Year Experience agenda in Europe. We were delighted to recognise the first cohort at EFYE Awards Recipients at Abertay University at EFYE 2023. The conference theme of Discovery was a perfect way to recognise their achievements and exceptional endeavours of colleagues impacting FYE practice, policy and research. We look forward to receiving submissions as we host EFYE 2024 in Copenhagen, and hearing how FYE colleagues are excelling in the engagement, development and sustaining of communities.
Will Carey, Chair of EFYE Committee
